Now the games's been given away about Barton, I hear they've moved the 787 to Ashcroft farm.

Something strange is going on; I had my telescope out last night and as I scanned the moon, I saw a 787 parked next to a B17 which was parked next to Glen Miller's UH 64 and Elvis' Convair 880.
Strange...

Your totally wrong there, a 787 is without doubt operating in the cheshire area, a good friend of mine was in the davenport arms near woodford last night and got chatting to a yank at the bar, turns out this yank was actually a 787 test pilot he wouldnt divulge too much info( even after being plied with umpteen pints of robbies best bitter) but my mate reckons the aircraft is based at woodford aerodrome where its carrying out its test programme well away from prying eyes, theres even a rumour going around woodford that boeing might be setting up a production facilty there.
OMG you are dillusional! It was not there, your mate is either pulling your leg, totally gullable or on something a hell of a lot stronger then pints! The fact of the matter is that the 787 has not yet been to the UK, It probably wont be until maybe Farnborough and if it had, the aviation press would have been all over it!
The plane is only flying a month, it requires specific certification before it can even fly over the Atlantic if which it is still not near achieving and to state that it was here is just insane at this moment in time! There is nothing "strange" going on, just a case of people badly needing to get their eyes tested!

Donīt knock it, I saw a caravelle 3, Dassault Mercure and a prototype concord(e) at Netherthorpe aerodrome yesterday.
They seemed very small even using my specs, but I saw them!

it requires specific certification before it can even fly over the Atlantic
But that assumes its not going to fly out of Seattle in the other direction.

Just been reading on a spotters forum that a spotter up in the orkneys spotted a large american carrier moored up in scapa flow, on the deck was a large twin engined blue civvy aircraft, shortly later the aircraft was gone so its possible thats how it got over here, it then took off and flew down to woodford, further my mate who was chatting to the test pilot in the pub noticed he had a american pattern naval anchor tattoed on his arm, so its possible he was spinning my mate a line and he wasnt a test pilot at all, but the naval aviator who had ferried the aircraft down to woodford.
