Yesterday the first improved Dornier 228 New Generation had it's maiden flight in Bavaria. Five blade props and digital avionics. India being main structures supplier.

Post EASA certifies RUAG Do 228NG

The updated version got EASA-certified. Endurance said to be up to 10 hrs now.

Sounds like this is what RUAG officially advertises now. Could be long range cruise and slow speed with light payload at optimum alt. Don't know about possible ferry tanks in the cabin.
The german link above says RUAG wants to market it increasingly as a sensor platform.

BTW: Is there any "relief tube" installed onboard?
