Fuel Type/Price

I have a couple of questions about fuel:

1) What is the difference between AVTUR and Jet A1? (if there is a difference)
2) What sort of price is the fuel that airliners use?

Thanks in advance, BA 77.

Search on here and find:

As for price that changes at each location for each airline/operator. Airfields do have published prices but I don't know anyone that pays that...

OB

PS...AVTUR JetA1, It's the same stuff...

Commercial airlines also hedge their fuel at an agreed fixed price for a few months at a time. Not sure on exact figures. I read somewhere on here that a barrel of fuel as advertised on the markets, is normally slightly higher than an equivalent volume of jet fuel.
