VC10's - Low at Night?

Are there any experts out there who could help with a question from a novice?

Last night at around 2000 2 large multi engined jets passed slightly to the north of me (Abergavenny) at (I think) between 1000' & 2000'. Could they have been VC10's? We get a quite a few Herc's here during darkness, but VC10's??

All help, advice and information gratefully received.

There has been a bit of VC-10 action at st-athan for the past week, so they were probably en-route to Brize or vice versa.

Beautiful machine

P.s. I live about 3 miles from you...'up the rock'.....its a small web!!
