Just attended a local town meeting and the guy(SLF) sitting next to me started to tell about his "surviving" a near gear collapse on a BA flight out of Mumbai this past week.
He claimed the FA's briefed for a "crash landing". All I could do was listen and keep my mouth shut.

The comments on that report alone speak for the authenticity of it!
Well informed reporting. I wonder how else they thought the plane was going to land, filled with a full trip's worth of fuel? Deary me... Oh well, we'd only cry if we didn't laugh at it!
According to sources, the flight in air even threw nearly 1.5 lakh liter of the fuel in the sea.
