Jet2.com Boeing 757`s
Just been down to Malaga and back recently on the tattiest 2 jets in the world, where the hell did they get these two old dinosuars from? I am an ex aircraft engineer and i`ve flown on some proper heaps but these things were the scruffiest things i`ve ever seen inside and out, to give some credit they were very quiet though.

I know what you mean, there a complete disgrace, i only hope the engineers maintain the important bits a bit better than they do the cabins, (assuming of course jet 2 actually employ engineers, )

Do you know which ones you flew on? Out of the 9 757's only three have the new seats and improved interiors, all the 'old seats' (Grey leather) are due to be taken out on more aircraft over the winter.

Some of LS's 757's come from AirScotland (G-LSAB) is one I think. Some have come from China Southern and I remember that Jet2 were going to acquire one from Atlasjet a couple of years ago, but later denied due to the poor condition that it was in.
Most of their fleet is old, some of their 757's date back to the mid 80s. Their 737's aren't much better either!
Despite this, i'm certain that their engineers do fine jobs in keeping them in tip-top health, despite having tatty cabins/interiors.

Recently flown on G-LSAA which I thought was a bit tatty and uncomfortable, and G-LSAI which seemed to be in a better condition except for a toilet door falling off in flight..
In either case, I have flown on worse

G-LSAD came from AirScotland/Greece Airways. G-LSAB came from Fly Air of Turkey, but it was sat in the Majove desert before it was delivered to Jet2. Previously it flew for Air Holland, Martinair, El Al and Arkia.
