Aer Lingus Incident

Anyone know what happened to the Aer Lingus sat at the end of the runway in CDG yesterday evening, surrounded by Fire Trucks?

Major panic broke out on a plane after a warning of an emergency landing was accidentally played.

They were cleared for departure at 1505 and were waiting for instructions from Dublin as to whether that meant when the big hand was on the Mickey Mouse or on the Donald Duck.

(Just thought I'd descend to the same level!)

Doesn't racism only apply to our ethnic minority.

Nick.

Aer Lingus crews were among the very, very best crews I ever worked with and most of them had a wry sense of humour. I'll bet there's laughter in Dublin when this thread is read!

Capetonian, FYI all Aer Lingus crews have since last year been issued with digitial watches to avoid exactly that sort of confusion.

I looked at my digital watch when I woke up this morning and it said LOLO, after I'd had my shower and tea it said OSLO, but I'm not going to Norway, so I'm not sure what's wrong with it.

I only hope these new fangled inventions cause less confusion to the Aer Lingus crews.

Couldn't resist this, but you probably have to be South African to get it!
