As above 2-4-2 excpet at the very back were it's 2-4-2 as the fuselage narrows.
The rows of 2 seats are very nice.

The pairs at the back of the plane are indeed very nice. You get a little bit room around you.
brs - why not have a look at SeatGuru at the seating configs? I know there's 4 versions, but you can get yourself an idea of what to expect. And if you go to V-Flyer you can find your flight and get a good guess at which version you'll have and the IFE onboard.

BRS Planespotter, why not log onto the virgin atlantic website. from there, you can put your booking details in and view the exact seat map, even choose your seat there and then (although they only allocate i think about 60% of seats for pre-booking and seats numbers can always be changed by VS without notice). you can also add any meal requests, and even input your passport details in advance.

Think you'll find that the rows of two at the back have now been reconfigured as extra legroom seats (34" rather than the standard 31") and are available at extra cost on check-in.
