Just a quick thanks for the display at the West Mids show. On climb out
you flew right down our street, stopped all the kids playing and they all looked to the sky.
My 2 young uns shouted out Spitfire soon as they saw it, but I have been
training them !!

Not sure whether it was the same aircraft but PS915 (the PR XIX) appeared at Cosford yesterday on a weather diversion, flown by no less than OC BBMF. At least two senior VGS aviators seemed to have a lot of dust in their eyes for some considerable time, and the cadets couldn't talk about much else for most of the rest of the day.

What superb ambassadors for the RAF the BBMF's men and machines are -- very many thanks, Sir, and more power to your elbow.

And Cosford yesterday also happened to be the ATC National Athletics Championships .... the Spit overflew the Stadium ... with about 500-600 cadets there...
