non story .. typical SKY sensationalist tosh in the wake of the Air France tragedy.
One might also describe this "style" of journalism as sick.
On the numerous occasions that this occurs every day, the aircraft affected will require an inspection.
This is preferably conducted at an engineering base for one's airline rather than an out station because the procedure can be time consuming.
It therefore makes sense to have another aircraft available (at said base) to fly the rotation and minimise delays... ergo commercial decision return to Dublin.
How many schools were narrowly missed this time ?
