just heard that SOU is closed to all traffic due to what is being reported as an "incident". A couple of aircraft are in the hold, and an inbound AirFrance is holding at GWC.

According to this article from the Southampton Daily Echo a chemical container was found in the toilets
SOUTHAMPTON airport was put on security alert this morning after staff discovered what appeared to be a chemical container in the toilets.
The Chemical Investigation Unit was called and the container was taken outside the building where a cordon was placed around it.
But the investigation was called off after the container was found to contain cooking oil.
No disruption was caused to passengers or flights.
