San Diego and A340-300

Hey all

Does anyone know if an A340-300 can fly from LGW to SAN DIEGO without any restrictions non stop?

Thanks

Having lived 25 years in the Los Angeles area, I would have different plans for California.
I fully understand your attraction for San Diego - Real nice city.
However, driving the coast, I would recommend San Francisco to Los Angeles.
It is the most scenic coastal area. Not the Los Angeles to San Diego drive.

San Francisco to Los Angeles can be enjoyed best in 3 days.
From San Francisco to Monterey, spend the night in Monterey.
Next day, Monterey to San Luis Obispo, spend the night.
Finally San Luis Obispo to Los Angeles to spend another night.
Your choice, such as Malibu, Santa Monica, Newport Beach, Mission Viejo.

The final Los Angeles to San Diego is a 2 hours drive.
Have lunch in La Jolla (pronounces La Hoya).
San Diego Zoo is probably the most beautiful zoo in the world.
Try to visit a US Navy aircraft carrier if one anchored in the harbor.

How about a short trip into Mexico...?
Tijuana not too attractive, but go further South to Rosarita Beach or Enseņada.
Only limitation - Get insurance coverage for car, valid in Mexico. Inexpensive.

Happy contrails

BA did San Diego with a B777, but not for long.

Have driven both ways, and have to agree, LA - San Diego was boring, brilliant Zoo though, LA - San Francisco is definately the best direction to go. In fact, doing it again in September (except the other direction) with a 3 night stop in Monteray.
