Cool Car Hire at LAX

As there is a veritable proliferation of agents at LAX, would anyone have some good contacts/suggestions? (Apart from using such long-winded wording)

Will be looking for the (de-rigeur) convertible for 2 weeks in October.

Try Dollar rentals, reasonable, sign the deal, shuttle bus to parking..Ask for airline rate, pay by card to avoid'collision'coverage(some cards absorb the extra rate)

On a recent visit to LAX, I pre-booked with the following company. They offered the best deal I could find for "fully-inclusive". The actual firm they used was ALAMO. I ended up with a Chevy Blazer 4x4 for a week for just over £200, slightly cheaper than the list showed.

Cool

Best "All Inclusive" deal I found last year for car rental at LAX was pre-booking through Budget Car Rental in the UK.

Got a Mid-sized car (bigger than a Mondeo) for £500 for three weeks (approx £167 a week!). Also, when we got there we were offered an upgrade to a Mustang Convertible (and very nice it was too) for only an additional $150 for the entire three weeks!!

They also chucked in a free cellphone (for emergency use only) which would have been very useful if we'd broken down in the middle of Nevada.

Hope this helps.
