Yes, twenty two years ago, three months into my brand new job as a jet first officer!
1. The car radio gave a time check.
2. The horrible realisation.
3. Reach for mobile telephone.
4. ***!! (Not yet invented.)
5. Yep! Adrenaline IS brown.
6. Mercifully, crewing officers and chief pilots were more humane in those days.
7. Never, ever, EVER again!

Errmm.......I DID, one year.
I lived in Luton, but got a lift up to Milton Keynes where I worked. I woke up early, so switched off the clock/radio alarm, didn't bother with TV either.
Outside my flat at the appropriate time, waiting for my mate to appear.
Nothing......
Getting really hacked off at my mate - so rang a taxi.
He turns up 15 mins later, and of course has clock on dashboard..........
AAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!
Got him to drop me back off at home - he v. amused!!! "Happens all the time"....
Mate turns up at the alotted time,
forgot to mention this!!!!!
