I asked my Father how he was finding retirement. He replied that he didn't know how he used to find time to go to work. Now then, that's the way to do it!

I'm 35 and love my job ,not looking foward to it at all.I hope I stay that way but I will probably end up old and cynical like so many other pilots. <img src="confused.gif" border="0">

I may be old but I hope not cynical!
I loved my job, line flying, a bit of sim instructing and the line training. Unfortunately events and a management unwilling to address a problem resulted in me being on sick leave for ten months out of the last eighteen. I've taken early retirement.
I'm hoping to carry on with some light aircraft flying and maybe a bit more, if and when I regain my medical certificate.

well, I've got 12 SIM's to go, not that I'm looking forward to stop flying, it's all the other BS you have to put up with nowadays. The range of emotions is quite wide however, when i have to pass trough what is called "the Security checkpoint" I think "I'm getting to old for this" but when i sit in my front office on a gorgeous morning and a beautyfull young Lady brings me cup of good Coffee, then I know that I will miss the whole thing when it is finally over in about 73 months!

Never a dull moment
GO FOR IT man, sorry to hear it's bad health forcing the issue.
You NEED to have on going interests, good hobby etc.
Don't think home decorating, renos, gardening will be enough. THEY WON'T
