Post British United Airways

Does anyone have any details of a website for BUA? Found plenty on BCal but hardly a thing on BUA.

Thanks

Excellent picture ETOPS. Certainly brings back memories of Heralds, but most of my memories were the later BIA ones in wonderful hue of orange.

Alas, I have already searched for a BUA website to no avail. There must be an opportunity for someone there.

Thanks for looking those out. It's a shame there's no site for them.

When were you both with them and what were you flying?

Excellent BIA picture ETOPS. Do you have a whole loft full of 60's & 70's pic's ?

Incipient_spin : Unfortunately I am a non-flyer for medical reasons and have to make do with employment in maintenance side of aviation. Makes me sick as a parrot but can't change nature. I have managed to fly on all sorts of exotica though, including Convair Coronados, Comets and Viscounts. If I see anything else on the web re; BUA I will let you know.

Found some more pic's of BUA incl. 1-11's etc. Try this link :-

http://www.users.zetnet.co.uk/pgoode...rdays/adt1.htm

This covers various airlines from way back. If you let your mouse run over the a/c types in the middle it will list the pic's available on the right-hand side.

If I find any more BUA stuff I will let you know.

Thumbs up

How could you have forgotten the VC10s? Here's Tango Alpha ... which was 'porpoised' on landing at LGW, had its back broken and was cut up into VC10 shaped plaques for the Golden Lion Children's Trust...
