Question Reclaiming UK VAT as operating crew

Hi,

I am a UK expat who often operates to LHR / LGW. Whenever I buy goods as a pax, i can reclaim the VAT at the airport on my exit, but I don't seem to be able to do this a operating crew.

I was told that you CAN reclaim VAT, but my friend couldn't remember the name/number of the form to use. it seems most of the customs people don't know that this is possible.

Is my friend right? I hope someone can help.

Best regards

Mo
