Post Eating out in Amsterdam!

Any of you guys nightstopping in Amsterdam and looking for some fine Indonesian food at a sensible price should try a restaurant called "Sama Sebo" on the corner between Peter Cornellius Straat and Hobbemastraat.

P.S. I don't get a commission

As a cloggy myself I feel the need to correct a spelling error:
The word is Rijsttafel, 2t`s.
It means rice(rijst) table(tafel).
And yes, it`s the best choice. Beats a curry every time.

Enjoy

I blundered into this thread thinking it was something different . . .

However, I did find an Ethiopian restaurant once in Amsterdam, would love to go there again, but can't for the life of me remember where it was.

Tricky :

Given the thread title, my first thought was "What are people eating in Amsterdam ?" but then that's just my dirty mind for you.

To avoid a transfer to JB, anyone got any serious suggestions ?

Wink

But if you wan't to taste a genuin " Caipirinha" (if you are in AMS for some days anyway) and a generous dish of meat (in truly brazilian style) for a reosonable price maybe you want to go to the "Carioca" at the Ceintuurbaan.
Or then again you can try your luck on one of the many Shoarma "tents" in AMS...and God be with you and your stomach!

PS; No comission either.

Hey Nr Fairy !

I think I know which Ethiopian restaurant you mean, I eat there a lot. It is very good, you eat with your hands and it is not expensive. The name of the restaurant is Addis Ababa and it is located at a quite long street named: the Overtoom (near Leidseplein).

Next time you visit Amsterdam, check it out!

Greetz,

The Doctor

I remember taking a bite out of a banana in Amsterdam, but the rest of this story is not for this thread!

Avman,
The Banana Bar is truly the most appalling place I've ever been to in my life.

When I was in the Bananenbar I was too ratassed to care about how bad it was ! There is also a great Indonesian up near the Rijksmuseaum which is horribly expensive but V good, 2 words to the name blowed if I can can remember though. You guessed it ratassed again when I was there.
