Ignore the flack, GibbyNI. Those firing it would do well to compare profile low three-quarter views (as against bright sky) of the 380 and 124. They are spookily close and unsurprisingly confused, particularly if one only has a fleeting glimpse in low cloud conditions.

HAHA yes it was the Antonov 124 just looked at it, was pretty much directly above me and I couldnt see a bump at the front so knew it wasnt a 747, and looked a hell of a lot bigger than anything else i see on approach to belfast.

Was getting all excited there LOL but then again what in hell would a A380 be doing in belfast

I was about to answer your question, but then realised you're just out for a punch-up shielded by the anonymity of the internet. Very brave !

Au Revoir !

good idea gibby, it would be good to know. Just in case you confuse it with a cessna.

Oh no BSMuppet thinks im stupid, im not going to get any sleep tonight thinking about that.

At the end of the day they are both big assed planes

A380
Length 73m
Width 79m
Height 24m

Antonov 124
Length 69m
Width 73m
Height 21m

Look at the figs, not as if there that far apart and for someone who has never seen any of these before in his life, only seeing it for a few secs and from below, i dont think its unreasonable for some one to think (and Hope) that it could have been it.

As for compairing 747 to cessna's and 747 to Dash 8s well if you need to exagerate your point so much to try and seem funny and act as if your better than others go right ahead its no skin off my back.

GibletsNI,

I wasn't having a go at you. I was simply agreeing with your reply to Camp regarding that it would be good to know when a 124 comes in.
