Post Need Help On A Book !

Hello!
About 15 years ago in the Gulf,i stumbled on a series of books about a very funny canadian fighter pilot in the first world war.The author managed very skilfully an accurate picture of RFC squadrons, their characters, the "ambiance" and the tragedies of the time whilst refusing any dramatisation;he just looked through the eyes of that candid, blundering young man from the colonies.
I tried to complete the trilogy but failed and to top it up,I lent them to a friend who enjoyed them so much he kept them.
the titles were something like :"Mom,it's me in the picture" and "It's me again " or something very close.
Come on,help me,I'm begging!

They might be books by Donald Lamont Jack

Some titles:

"That's me in the middle"
"Three cheers for me"
"Me too. The Bandy Papers"
"Me among the ruins"
"Exit muttering"

Most concern the exploits of one Bartholomew Bandy"
