RYR pilots wait for takeoffs...When spotting!

Hi all,
I have one question to all RYR pilots or if there are any of you spotters
out there that actually know WHY Ryanair pilots never takes off when someone
is standing behind ?

What i mean is, at my home airport ESGP/GSE when Wizzair or Air Berlin is
backtracking they are very kind and often gives us some waves
But when the Ryanair pilots backtracking and shall takeoff, they don't!
They really can't takeoff when someone is standing behind to watch the
airplane depart...It's really impossible, they always stop and call the airport security
and they come to us like someone newly died and throw us away until the RYR
plane has departed. Why is it just Ryanair that don't ''dare'' to takeoff with
people behind?

Thanks,
Robin

I don't know the layout of your airport, but if your location is very close to the threshold it could well be that RYR crews are thinking of YOUR safety (from jetblast and FOD flying into your face).

RingwaySam: I think he means directly behind rather than side-on.

As Avman says, perhaps the Ryanair pilots are concerned about YOUR safety.

Hi all,
Yes we are standing directly behind the aircrafts, actually we stand as close as you do in TNCM! So it's funny, but from TNCM there departs many much heavier aircrafts
with moore powerful engines, but why does Air Berlin and Wizzair allows it when
RYR doesn't?

Simple. Only idiots stand directly behind a jet blast, and RYR don't want to prematurely reduce the number of idiots as then they would struggle for passengers. The other airlines are trying the opposite to force RYR out of business.

Robini will no doubt be grateful for your linguistic assistance.

I rather suspect he is Swedish

You could round off your pedagogic expertise by writing your next post in grammatically perfect Swedish

Well, was it a tiny bit patronising to correct the Swede's use of English if fluent Swedish is a little bit beyond your abilities?

Then again, you were accurate in your corrections, so Robini may have learned something.

Just for fun and enlightenment, let us have your version of his posts in, let's say, French.

We can then all go to bed less ignorant
