Post Boeing"STRATOCRUISER" Buffs

The big Boeing "STRAT" is back in he skies by way of the BERLIN AIRLIFT HISTORICAL FOUNDATION from Toms River NJ. The C-97G(377) Stratocruiser is now back EAST in NJ after HER Ferryflight from the Aberdeen S.D. This big Boeing "STRAT" in HER new life will become a FLYING MUSEUM of COLD WAR hISTORY. Insde HER fuselage will be many displays, showcases, models & memorabilia & some murals on exibit to tell the story of 40yrs of the COLD WAR YRS. Only 2 of these fine examples of the "Stratocruiser" still survive in the WORLD today that are AIRWORTHY!! The other is a converted Firetanker at Greybull WYO. The BAHF is a nonprofit, tax exempt, all volunteer membership Corporation dedicated in preserving this great Proptransport of SAC & also as a great AIRLINER of the 50's with Panam,Northwest,United,AOA,SAS & BOAC. Any help & support is welcomed to keep this project moving ahead & to bring this beautiful "STRAT" back to the skies once again for all to hear & see."The LEGACY Lives On" See us at www.spiritoffreedom.org

Nice piccy of a Strat crew at work on the inside cover of Boeing's current issue of "Aero" magazine.

The Strat had a REAL glass cockpit and "human" EICAS, FMS and Comms systems Them were't days eh?
