Arrow Bill Carson, RIP

For all you guys and girls who started out in aviation-life at the Ulster Flying Club, Newtownards, or Woodgate Aviation Flying School, Aldergrove, Bill Carson, ex-CFI, and also formerly with National Airways, Capital and Gill Air, passed away suddenly yesterday. He gave a load of us a good start in Aviation, and an "insight" into the requirements of CRM!

Raise a glass to him, next time you're having a drink.

Unhappy

I was privileged indeed to have Bill as a First Officer to keep me right when I got my first command on a Belfast based Shorts 330 with Gill in 1990.
My logbook records our first flight together in G-LEDN, BFS-GLA-CTY-GLA-BFS, 11th July 1990.
In common with a great number of us, private and commercial, I learned a lot from Bill.
A Gentleman. RIP
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
