Job cuts ground Flight Simulator

As a PPL who has found MSFS invaluable and accurate (but sometimes harder to use than the real thing) could this be a body blow to GA? This software is an invaluble aid and has, I believe, inspired many to take up the real thing. A sad day!

Can't see it as a body blow to GA, you're either interested in flying or you're not.
Having been an instructor and still do some part time it will be a good thing for GA, you can tell the students who fly flight sim, they can't keep their eyes out the cockpit. This is very difficult to get this habit out of them.
However, it is a good learning tool for "procedures" only, but only once the basics have been established

Dunno what it means but at about the time that Deano777 posted the Microsoft Corporate B763 (N804MS) overflew London heading East -Spooky

Good point about the bad habits Deano - We use MSFS to train our Air Cadets but we have built a cockpit enclosure and project the "outside" views on to screens so they the "fly" it with reference to the outside world as if on a big ($$$$$) sim.

I see it as a good thing. I gave up on Flight Sim last year, it's poor graphics engine and many inaccuracies meant I got bored of the sim.
Maybe if and when FS returns, it will be given the revamp it so desperately needs.

Pretty sure that FS is going to be returning as a Games for Windows Live product.
Some of the ACES team have been rehired apparently.
