how do I find an EI Captains name?
Hello I am taking an Aer Lingus flight to Newark next Tuesday. I would like to be the Jumpseat passenger and I am going to write a short letter to the Captain, but I dont know his/her name. What is the easiest way to find the name?
Maby someone could search a database or something? I really dont know. These are the flight details...
DUB - EWR
24 JUL
Departure time - 15 10
Flight - 107n
Help greatly appreciated.. thanking in advance.

With all due respect I don't think it would be appropriate (I wont even touch on the legalities) for anyone with access to that information to provide it to you.
Regarding the jumpseat request the information you already have is sufficient and I would address it to the "Captain" of the appropriate flight since there is also a possibility that the crew could could change on the day.
A short note saying who you are and expressing an interest in a cockpit visit and you'll be laughing (usually).
As a revenue pax it would be unusual for you to be invited to occupy the jumpseat for take-off (unless you were known or otherwise vouched for) but it's not unknown to be invited in for landing if you get on well with the crew (don't be afraid to ask).
Hope you enjoy it!
