Boeing 787 Pilots

Hey guys/girls,

I'm curious to know if there are any pilots out there whose companies are receiving Boeing 787 Dreamliners, of which those pilots wish to fly?

In other words, are there any pilots on PPRuNe who hope to fly the Boeing 787 with their companies, when (if?) they are delivered? The reason I ask is because there hasn't been a plane since, dare I say, Concorde which has caused such a buzz in the industry.

Just to make this topic more broad, feel free to share your excitement on the Airbus A350 XWB as well, as the two planes are philosophically similar.

Thanks,
Aaron.

Aaron, are you named after the islands?

To be honest, i guess that most pilots heading for the 787 are more interested in route structure and salary scale rather than the prestige... Same goes for the A350....

Now if you were talking about the L1011... then people would scream....

I don't believe so, I think my mother just always loved the name. That, and the islands are spelled "Aran" (or "Árann" in Irish).

And the L-1011, there was a great ship!

Yes company is due to receive them (God only knows when now?)
Yes I hope to fly them, and probably will.
Not sure about the "buzz", unless it is an irritating one.
Do you have a question?
