Doesn't show dirt, nice relaxing colour you get used to. Beats dull grey. Russian cockpits are a garish blue/green. What's the problem with it?

Brown cockpit...???
Never seen or been in a brown 707, 727 or 747 cockpit...
Most of them were grey/blue, some even black.
For all-female cockpit crew, maybe pink or baby blue be more suitable.
And nice mini-tablecloth with lace fringe, for the folding table.
Matching fabrics for seats...?

Sorry - Only flew "real" 747s - 747-100, 200, 300, and SP (version for sexy pilots).
What do you talk about...? A 744...? What animal is that...?
Oh yeah, now I recall...
Somebody told me it is like a 300 with winglets, but missing a F/E...

All civil Boeing Flight Decks were blue up until the 757/ 767. After than they have all been brown.
I assume the 787 will be brown, but confess that is an assumption on my behalf.
I have flown the 737-200 and the 747-100 and 200 in blue, and the 747-400 in brown, and I prefer the brown. Everything at altitude is blue. All the colours get washed out. So the brown is a nice contrast.

Just buy an ATR and choose grey-blue or brown
For what it's worth, it makes shag all difference to me, although the brown is somewhat more "welcoming"
I do, however, harbour a special disdain for Dornier's "Fisher Price" blue ones!

I think the grey looks a bit better than brown
Then again, i don't really give a damn, as long as i get my ATPL licence, i'll be more conerned about having an aircraft to actually fly, let alone the colour of the flight-deck!

Lockheed in their wisdom offered 3 choices for cockpit colour schemes on the L1011 - grey, blue or olive green. My past employer bought some new Trimotors with grey, some used with blue, and got into a parts pool with an operator with olive green so we had some interesting combo's as seats and things got moved about. Fortunately the colour variations were only in the background trim and actual instrument panel structure and the actual radio tuning heads, instruments, etc were all grey if I recall correctly.
