funny/bizarre point names

hi, I would like to hear your collection of points with funny or bizarre names. We are introducing a new route scheme in spring, among other points we have: penex, gimix, rekti, nipel

(last two are actually in this order)

We were having this same conversation the other week, when THRED and NEEDL came up. DIKAS was mentioned too.

I pointed out that there is a CLITY, but no male pilot has found it!

Sorry....

Madrid airspace has RATAS and GASMO

and as always the humour lies in using the correct accent.

I wonder if EGBKFlyer will make an appearance on this thread, as I know he has been collecting these waypoints for simply ages.....

Just South of NCL there are GIRLI and UVAVU....The latter sounds like something Vic Reeves used to say on Shooting Stars and he is from that neck of the woods....

There are two VORs about 80 miles apart, 250 or so miles southwest of JFK which auto tune in the FMC and they are;

FAK ORF

FlAtrocK and NORFolk

I just about died laughing the first time I saw this.

Regards,
BH.
