Last time a plane was on time?
ACAC ARJ21 recently flew, at last. LATE.
Sukhoi Superjet flew this May, LATE. The tests have been delayed even after that.
Airbus 380 entered into service in October 2007. LATE. The production rampup was delayed, too.
Airbus 400M is also LATE.
Boeing 787 was "rolled out" on 8th of July, 2007, and was to fly in August. It has not - it is LATE.
Boeing 777-200LRF has flown, but it also is LATE. As is Boeing 747-800.
Bombardier CRJ1000 is also LATE.

Not usually Del on time!
I can't remember the last time an A/C was Del on the date that was arranged.
Looks like the 787 (Dreamliner) is well late for it's 'Awaiting Customers'
It's bad enough waiting for an A/C, But also the prospect of the job losses at Boeing too is no help!
Think the problem is, The Airlines do't allow as much time as the A/C Man does - Hence the delay?
I hope this helps your answer.
