Angel Landing at St Maarten

I snaffled a couple of spectacular photos of aircraft landing overy low over the beach at St Maarten (Courtesy of Jetphotos.net) right over people's heads and just put them on my own laptop collection hoping to impress my partner with how stunning the pics were, but he wont believe me that they were so low and 30ft over peoples heads.

He said that they must be superimposed onto the picture of the beach as there was no shadow underneath, but I have seen website pics of that airport and I know planes come in that low.

Could anyone confirm that planes do indeed land that low, so that I can impress him further?

Cheers
