Final Approach calls

I have noticed on some cockpit dvd's that on final approach one of the pilots may call out something along the lines of " Plus 10 down 5 ". What does this refer too? Many thanks

I would imagine it means "plus 10 knots on Vref, and 500 feet/min rate of descent. plus 10 down 5 (+10 knots/down 500'/min)
