Guys if the weather is anything like the last few weeks you will be lucky to get anything and the August forecast is for much of the same. 2008 has been a wash out.

Good times

The airshow was pretty placid on Thursday with only the Eurofighter Typhoon making a big racket and the Falcon's parachute team cloudbased out.

Liked all the displays though, down the beach between the two piers. The Lancaster was probably the best received flight, local demographics and all!

Friday better with the Rarrers, Gnat, Vixen and more - weekend weather forecast a lot better if you're going.

I thought the airshow was dreadfully disappointing on the Friday. Nice to be able to sit on a very nice beach at an airshow, but I was very disappointed the Vulcan was not going to appear that day, and the BBMF didn't attend due to breakdown. The rest of the show was very 'thin'. I thought the display line was held much too far out, and you were always looking into sun so photographing the aeroplanes was hopeless as you could only see the shaded side- all the pictures were mainly silhouettes. Moving the sun the other side, and allow the display line to cross the piers and be closer to the beach and it would be a good start!
