LGW BA Vs Virgin Prem Econ

I am flying to Orlando later this year in Prem Econ and prices on BA and Virgin are similar. I flew last year on a Virgin flight ex Gatwick and saw that Prem Econ hasnt been upgraded to the standard of LHR and more recently saw that due to other financial pressures i.e fuel costs - work on the upgrade had stopped. I just wondered if any of their aircraft were upgraded. More recently I flew on a BA777 ex Gatwick in Club Class to Barcelona (due to earlier cancelled flight!) and only saw a glimpse of their Prem Econ (as was too tired to move due to an 8 hour delay spent in the BA Lounge topping up my alcohol levels). Which is better in terms of comfort and service?

Thks UKLAD.

Personally I'd recommend Virgin. Quiet and very spacious cabin (upper deck 747 from LGW), dedicated Premium crew and improved food offering. Yes, you'll still have the old seat but it's still better than the BA WTP seat.
