G-GMPB circling over greater manchester!

Hello,

does anyone know why this aircraft flys in circles over gtr manchester at unusual times of the day, ive asked a relative who is involved with the greater manchester police force and he couldnt tell me anything.

A couple of years ago i saw this a/c make a low-level pass (about 100ft)over a farm on the out-skirts of Blackrod near Bolton, hhhmmmm...

Also over the last few months its became a more frequent vistor where i live (Atherton), espeically at night, its often spend at least 30mins circling the same area....

I know gtr manc' police have a helicopter to monitor criminal activity, but im not sure what thisA/C is used for.....

Hopefully someone can shed some light on this...

PS. ive used the search engine, came up with nothing...

It monitors "communications", as well as sometimes being involved with low level surveillence over hotspots including over the footballs grounds during high profile matches.

2 seconds work on G-INFO gave the owner as: "GREATER MANCHESTER POLICE AUTHORITY". That's your answer.
