Strange Aircraft

Saw a high level jet today doing large orbits over Tayside area. Watched it from 1700 for at least half an hour or so. Seen it on a couple of occasions before. Anyone any ideas what it was? I assume military of some sort, definately 2 engine, perhaps 4. It was so high i couldnt quite make it out.

Had a feeling thats what it might be. Definately military.

Thats the 3rd or 4th time i've seen it, following excatly the same course as previous occasions.
