Spitfire Pictures
My daughter is looking for a high-resolution pictures of Spitfires, to put onto canvas for a friend of hers. All the pictures that we've found yet are low-res.
Does anyone know where there are any hi-res downloads on the internet? Or, alternatively, if anyone has any of there own we can use, in exchange for an attribution only, they would be most gratefully received - PM me if you have.

G'day MD,
Here's a tiny link to Airliners.net, in particular lots of Spitfires.

Are they any good?
Regards,
BH.
Hmm, the link doesn't give you the option of "next page" for some reason. There are hundreds of pictures of Spitfires, go to the home page and you'll find a 'photo search page' prompt about midway down the page, just search for Spitfires and you'll be on your way.

Thanks BH. I did actually know the site, but the available pictures are fairly low-res and won't blow up that big.
One problem I've got at the moment with the request is that I don't know how big she wants to print the picture. I suspect an A3 size so that would need a higher resolution original but she might want to do a montage, in which case lots of smaller lower resolution would be ok.
Enquiries are in progress to find out but I haven't managed to speak to her yet.
