P-39 or P-63 over Thirsk?
Lounging in my back garden in Thirsk, Nth Yorks yesterday (27 Jul 07 at about 1845 hrs) I saw what I thought was an Airacobra fly by heading North. Am I mad or was it en-route to an airshow?
(my kids asked what it was and I rashly claimed it as a P-63. On second thoughts I'm not sure if there's a Kingcobra in the UK at the momemt)

The Fighter Collection has a P-39 based at Duxford. Sadly both the P-63s they've owned have been destroyed in accidents.
