Scary looking landing in Hong Kong
Just found this picture while surfing the web (as one does on a Friday afternoon) is this picture as scary and alarming as it looks?
I know the picture is 9 years old, so may well have been discussed here before, but just wondered what you guys thought!

Probably just a normal crosswind landing given where the smoke has drifted - it just looks good because the tyres are scrubbing as it comes round straight. He is at least right on the centreline.

Scary Kai Tak landing
The curving and with the help of visual "checker board" approaches to Kai Tak were scary whether on video clips or photographs. But in my opinion, about that specific picture, was it possibly that the use of tele-lens also tend to "flattened" the perspective thus showing more dramatic angle between a/c nose direction and the centerline. Anyway , the landing gear smoke clearly demonstrated the effect of almost extreme landing.

Folks, I used to watch the planes coming into Kai Tak from the roof of the car park there -- and that KAL landing is a crap one.
It's been posted here before under the rather good headline along the lines of of 'Real men don't go around'.
