'Tornado' over Bedford ?

I have been told by colleagues that a 'Tornado' was seen from the top of Manton Lane in Bedford doing a couple of circuits to the West , possibly investigating a 'large light aircraft' over toward the west on Wednesday.
Any observations ?

You should phone the met office, they can be very damaging those Tornadoes can.

Quite right Dirty,

Particularly as Bedrock is in a bowl and weather tends to pass us by, or rather over. Much like the rest of the world, hence our reputation for apathy.

I've got absolutely no idea what either the aircraft or reasons involved were. However, I do know that there is at least one company in the UK contracted to fly as 'targets' for various missions by the military. They fly KingAirs (a big small aircraft if you see what I mean, twin prop-engined and high-tailed) and Dassault Falcons (also two engines but jets this time). Could your colleages have seen one of those along with a Tornado customer?
