5 Vapour Trails in formation today at 15:35

5 Vapour Trails in formation today at 15:35
Looking up above the Penistone / Barnsley area today at 15:35 I noticed 5 vapour trails from aircraft flying in an arrow head formation heading south at what appeared to be a medium level of altitude. They didn't appear to be military though hard to tell. We usually have aircraft flying over approaching Manchester but this was quite an unusual sight. Can anyone assist with what they may have been.
