Helios crash + Oxygen supply question

I'm just watching "Aircrash Unsolved: The Mystery of Helios 522" on Disco Wings. They've mentioned the fact that passengers were wearing oxygen masks. I'm curious. If you have a decompression and the masks are deployed, how long can the system generate oxygen for before it runs out? Do you have some indication of "time remaining" in the cockpit? Presumably all you have to do is get under 10,000ft in order for the masks to be no longer required?

Ahh the programme just answered my own question - they have 15 minutes to descend below 10,000 feet.
