Boeing 747 classic '947'
I'd be interested to know the identity of a red-tailed 747 that trailed east-bound over southern England this morning (19.11.06). It looked as though it wore the number '947' 'water-bomber fashion' in white numbers on the tail.

I believe it carries 20,000 gallons or 200,000 lbs ..... call it a 100 tons of water ....
