Boeing 747 classic '947'

I'd be interested to know the identity of a red-tailed 747 that trailed east-bound over southern England this morning (19.11.06). It looked as though it wore the number '947' 'water-bomber fashion' in white numbers on the tail.

Apologies if this type of post is out of order - I'm still new to this!

Thanks,
Freeman.

Are you misled by his water bomber reference? The photo hasn't got a red tail!

All the water bomber equipment is currently out of the aircraft - most of it is on pallets. The aircraft currently operates as a nose loading freighter

Just how many 100ml tubes of water and 20cmx20cm bags would it take to get 100 tons of water through security

Gives another point of view for 100 tonnes of potable water. How long does it take to convert.
