Avis/asda Bae146

We understand after Flybe had one of the BAE146s painted in the Gib casino Mansion house colours there would be two more aircraft to follow.

The two companies mensioned were Asda the supermarket chain and Avis the car rental company.

Has any one any up date on this?. it is a good way of getting someone else to paint your aircraft and help save the compant some cash.

Apparently Flybe received a six figure sum from Mansion. I assume the same can be said for Avis and Asda, although it's gone a bit quiet recently.

Smacks of desperation to me. An attempt to increase the company's coffers before it's sold.

They've already had to offload one member of crew from the Mansion one because, with the extra weight of the wrap, it was overweight!

Brilliant!

Paint job

Not only have they have offloaded people before the aircraft since it arrived back in service it has not had the best servicability record.

From info received the aircraft must have the worst tech record for BAE146s in the fleet.

If you look close the paint job is not up to a high standard of finish although it looks nice from a distance.

The way Spurs are doing they may be having second thoughts; I was there last sunday and was amazed they could make no impact on Fulham.
