Tristar - At Gatwick Last Saturday
I noticed a Tristar Landing at Gatwick on Saturday. Does anyone know if this is a regular ?
It made a nice change to see one on approach again.

We still see the occasional L-1011, when operators have run out of their own a/c. BA were running one last year and Excel did 2 rotations last weekend. The ones we see are all Portugese registered (CS-xxx) Being 3-engined, they're useful on routes where ETOPS would be ruired for a twin and you've run out of approval for that on your fleet...
