Fri Night over Sheffield something big ?

Probably around 23:00 something that looked pretty large flew directly over our house heading East. It was travelling pretty slowly and had a very distinctive engine sound.

The other thing that I cant remember seeing before was the aircraft had no navigation lights or beacons. Their was however 2 extremely bright white anti-collision lights on what I assume to be the nose area and tail of the aircraft. I've never seen this configuration before that I can recall. Nothing on the wings though. Unless it was flying sideways :-)

Jet but very distinctive. Used to hearing most types over our area including fairly regular C5's. Not heard anything like it before.
