South Coast Airways DC-3

Hi All,

Anybody know the fate of the DC-3/C-47 that operated out of Bournemoth (Hurn) airfield under South Coast Airways? Saw it on the net going for £150,000. After a long absence it was spotted around the airfield over the last few days, does anyone know of its current status?

Cheers

HM!!

There was a DC-3 in the background at Dunsfold on "Top Gear" tonight - appeared to be oveall white/grey with a red cheatline - is that it? Not sure when it was filmed, but the two Atlantique DC-6s were still present as well.

I do belive that the reg of the DC-3 is G-DAKK, Also in the past I have spotted a CL-44 stored in one of the hangers on the far side of the airfield.

Whoops! Slightly commercial link there Mr Artist! - Tony Holden is/was involved. He also was connected with/owned Fifi Kate.

On the subject of DC-3's, can anyone identify this one for me please?

Unknown Dakota

I think it was used for Agatha Christie's Poirot, is this right?
