Ryanair engine #2 smoke on startup ?

As FR flight from EBCI to Valladolid started its engines this afternoon around 1330Z, thick smoke came out of engine #2 which prompted an intervention by airport fire department, a return of the a/c to the gate and disembarkment of all passengers.

When I returned from my flight 2,5 hours later, mechanics were still working on the engine and passengers were being informed that ETA was 1650Z !

It looked like a very recent 737 - with winglets !
