Alitalia 777 engine failure?

Sounded and looked like an Alitalia 777 with a failed port engine today into Heathrow around 8 pm. Am I imagining things?

Been nothing on the news about it, ne reports of passenger aircraft plummeting out of control into a school playground, with the pilot wrestling at the controls.
