As from March next year the BA 16/15 (LHR-SIN-SYD) will be on a 777.

I think what pilotatlast means is that when you go to Book (or mock book) a flight from LHR-SYD and click on the flight number it still comes up with "Aircraft Type: Boeing 747 Jet".

It does still do this, as I checked the other day when I first saw this thread.

Strange move, that route always seems to be packed out all the time!

Could be trying to push yield up, especially since the axing of MEL?

The marketing phrase 'Singapore Airlines, now more than ever, a great way to fly' comes to mind. Seem strange that BA are going to pitch a 777 against the A380 unless they are really worried (not) by the latest competition. I really can't imagine LHR-SYD at 777 cabin noise levels being popular, at least at the front.
