Missing windows

I have been asked why are there windows missing in these 2 photographs

I was about to say they were at the emergency exits but that is not right, so why are those windows missing?

If you mean the gap in the windows just in line with the leading edge of the wing I believe this is where the air conditioning ducts run up to the top of the fuselage.

As gl says, a faint memory on the 737-400 says the trunking runs about row 7 in normal config. Not sure how many MOL squeezes in!
